2.Tell about a place or a person that had an impact on you this past week.（1）

last week,my twenty two years old son and I went to New York and visited the statue of liberty. We took some photos and knew the history of it. I feel so proud. Because, First, It is one of the most famous monuments in the world, which is made of copper and people took ten years to finish. Second, the great monument has been a symbol of liberty for the people in the world. So that’s why, this experience was so special for me.

3.Compare the experience to something similar that might happen in a different country. (1)

In my opinion, different countries are similar with celebrating New Year.But there are some difference. In Canada when it is the last day of the year, a large crowd of people will gather under the Town Hall clock and wait for the New Year. When New Year comes everybody will begin to laugh and sing. In China people will fire the fireworks and eating dumplings with family members. Everybody will wear new clothes, in order to have a new start.

3.Compare the experience to something similar that might happen in a different country. (2)

In my opinion, different countries have similar ways of celebrating the New Year. But there are some differences. In Canada, when it is the last day of the year, a large crowd of people will gather under the Town Hall clock in Toronto and wait for the New Year. When New Year comes, everybody will begin to laugh and sing. In China, people will light the fire and eat dumplings with family members. Everybody will wear new clothes in order to have a new start.
